HIS2009 didn't really support IPv6 all that well (some of it did, some of it
didn't)...The NEXT version removes that bug (I know, I fixed the static IPV6
addresses bug :-) ) and should be fully happy on IPv6.

The only HIS 2009 IPv6 documentation that I'm aware of are in the following:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd768134.aspx

It states the following there:

Extended deployment options and management tools

•IPv6 networking for selected features
•Backup and recovery using VSS Writer
•New common Trace Viewer

HIS 2009 Datasheet (http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9659109) where it states
the following:

Application integration, messaging integration, and data integration
connectivity within an Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) network, allowing
Enterprise IT administrators with choice to support IPv4-only, dual stack,
or IPv6-only environments.

The following is some information that I wrote up for some HIS 2009
Training:

Support for IPv6-enabled environments

Since IPv6 is becoming more prevalent, most of Microsoft’s network-aware
applications are adding support for IPv6. With this in mind, HIS 2009 and
Biztalk Adapters for Host Systems 2.0 have been updated to support IPv6
networks. However, not all features will support IPv6 when the HIS 2009 and
BAHS 2.0 are released.

The following HIS 2009 and BAHS 2.0 features will support IPv6 in dual-stack
mode:
• Transaction Integrator, Biztalk Adapter for Host Applications (BAHA), WCF
Service for Host Applications
• Data Providers, Biztalk Adapter for DB2, Biztalk Adapter for Host Files
• Biztalk Adapter for Websphere MQ, WCF Channel for Websphere MQ,
MSMQ-MQSeries Bridge

The following HIS 2009 feature supports IPv4-only (default) or IPv6-only
(enabled via registry entry) modes:
• IP-DLC Link Service

The following HIS 2009 features do not support IPv6:
• HIS Client/Server interface (DMOD)
• TN3270 Server
• TN5250 Server
• Session Integrator

As Robert indicated on his post, there are some issues with IPv6 and the
IP-DLC link service that are fixed in the upcoming HIS 2010 release.

Thanks...
